No, Viking was _not_ "positive"; _Levin_ thinks Viking was positive.
Blabbering parrot, the experiment by Levin was positive.
That is a scientific fact.
Some religious are however afraid life on other planets is not
'Christian' or whatever, or messes up a creation picture with
earth as the centre (or them), so will find _any_ excuse
to 'disprove', however improbable the disprove is.
If astronauts went to mars and were bitten by a mars-rat, it would
be explained away by Pope & Co as self stigmatisation.
Their 'disprove' of life is simply scientific fraud to keep the masses
the slaves of those same religious leaders that 'corrected' the news
report (I still remember it from Viking, before your were conceived
possibly).
It all leads to a silly number of papers 'is' 'is not' 'is' 'is not'..,
while any half educated person can clearly see life is not patented and
copyrighted to earth only.
But there is no way I can make you change your mind, as, even if you think
you have free will, you [what you do and think] are just a result of all
other forces in the universe.
So it makes no difference.
Not even to life on mars, if you believe in it or not.
Life is just a natural process that happens everywhere, except in the brain
of those in the white house.
