With so many star systems out there, it seems
difficult to assume that we, as humans, are the
most intelligent beings in the universe.
Let's hope we are not the best the Universe has to offer.
Yet if there are others who are more intelligent, it
would be reasonable to assume that they would
have contacted us.
Why? If they have the equivalent of "The Prime Directive"...
But then we can hardly call ourselves intelligent
as we rape our own planet.
Rape is such a dirty word. Pillage and loot are much less
emotionally laden, yet still convey the meaning. Oh, and not
just "our own planet", but our children's planet too.
