Falling object in sky?

Around 8pm on March 2, 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA in basically the eastern
sky, I saw a bright object about the size of a pencil falling for
maybe two or three seconds. Would it have been a meteor? The moon was
rather bright, and the sky still have tinges of blue, and you could
not see any stars. Also is there a place on the web where people can
post what they see, and maybe find out if someone else may have seen
the same thing?

Thanks

Tom
