Congratulations, you are now members of this group.
It is your duty to not turn away from energy, from cleaner,
cheaper energy possibilities. Air conditioning was invented
in 1902 by a company named Carrier. Today they sell
air conditioners.
As some of you may know, air conditioners not only
produce cold. They also produce warm. Your refrigirator
blows warm air out, and keeps the cold inside.
It turned out, that this warmth that refrigirators or air conditioners
make is three times more energy efficient than the heat electric
heaters produce. This invention is used in Australia today,
where air conditioners are reversed to blow the heat they
produce inside homes. In the USA electricity is already far
cheaper than natural gas, but in most homes natural gas is
used.
There is a trick however. Reversed air conditioning does not
work well under 22 degrees F (-5 degrees C). The solution
is to reheat, recycle warm air inside the house rather than
keeping the air conditioner running on outside temperatures.
10 percent of the air can come from outside as a mix for
fresh air. The result is like heaters closed-cycled in cars,
even more efficiency, a result of an invention which offers
as many as 10 times cheaper heating in the United States.
One is left speculating on what comes with 10 times cheaper
heating technologies in the USA. Solar panels can now
be used to heat a home, something that was unaffordable
in the past.
This heater can of course also cool the home in the Summer,
but there is one more thing that this heater can do:
when mixing cold and hot air, the result is humidity, water,
a lot of water. In fact, gallons of water every minute even
when humidity outside is low. Filtered, drinking water
for pennies of energy.
