I'm curious, can dark matter form black holes?
Or can dark matter be sucked into a normal black hole? What are the
limits to how much dark matter can compress to?
Presumably dark matter could form black holes under the
right circumstances, or be accreted into an existing black
hole since it responds to gravitation.
However, since dark matter is supposed to not be affected
by electromagnetic forces it might be difficult for a
black hole to 'get started' if the stuff doesn't accrete
or condense into a compact body. We don't know with any
certainty whether or not it is governed by the Pauli
exclusion principle, or if it has some new chemistry or
physics all its own. Interesting times ahead!
