It sounds like these theorists are saying that nothing actually falls into a black hole but stays in permanent limbo at the edges of the event horizon. That's because time slows down to zero by the time it reaches the event horizon. So what does that mean? A black hole is just a big void in time and space inside which nothing exists, including energy?
