Your own link points out that it was because there was more oxygen in the atmosphere back then, than there is now.

If as you say, there was less dark matter on Earth back then, then it stands to reason that there was less dark matter in the Solar System too back then. Therefore Earth's orbit would've shifted outward, making it colder on Earth. Too many inconsistencies with your theory.
