Visible Comet December 10, 2007

Good Evening,

Last night, between 7 & 8 p.m., my family and I as well as my parents
(who are located
5 hours away) observed a comet. Our location was Tampa Florida. We
simply walked
outside, pretty much looked straight up, and there it was. I've seen
comets before and
this looked like one. However over the course of the hour it faded
and by 8 p.m. it was completely gone. Does anyone have an

    ... its easy to see with the naked eye, unusual to look straight down a comet ... if you look down towards the eastern horizon is the yellowish bright stat ... I've created a page of images of the comet ...

    ... your explanation seems to deviate significantly from the text ... comet does largely follow the same orbit as the comet ... If so, there would be no tail at all, just a coma. ... acting at an angle to the orbit. ...
