Please, try to notice that I have been concerned with trying to concEPTually
cap any semblance of accusative statements made by me by help of my rather
revealing and encompassingly explanatory philosophical terminology.

John,
I have noted that not a single person that has part-taken in this newsgroup
has been able to refute anything put forth by force of Edserian
Perfectionist Thinking (Except Pure Typos - and casual oversights)!
And now you are asking me to try to logically one-up you, drawing upon my
Exceptionally (Philosophical) Perceptive Talent -- %-> --- to achieve the
'inversely equivalent' impossible feat of defeating this your somewhat inEPT
proposition!! :-)
If it would not suit my AEVASIVE style - which makes this an opportunity for
me to both entertain myself and prove the power of EPT to some possible
by-stander - I would not bother to do it.
So here it is:
To start with, I briefly and simplifyingly define "opportunity type
selective pressures" (OTSP) as a label on any primarily constructive
potential, sometimes realized, new configuration or, in an evolutionary
context more specifically, any complexity preserving or increasing
genophenotyping change;
And, I ask that the heuristic-logical use of this dialectic 'OTSP-side' of
this didactic dichotomy (of the Evolutionary Pressure Totality) by seen
from, or placed in, a phylogenetic perspective where selective pressures are
(partly) environmental (including envirnomental feedback) influences -
leaving aside intrinsic selection pressures - on individuals that some
mutant individuals either will be relatively reproductively advantaged by,
or "naturally pruned *in* by" (because selection pressures often naturally
prune *out* _other_ individuals (genophenotypes) with _as if_ 'competing
"candidatures" for ancestorhood'.
In phylogeny there are opportunity type pressures to survive by eating (or
otherwise acquiring) different kinds of things. Some of these "things" can
not be eaten without a capacity to overcome an environmental "adversity type
selective pressure" (ATSP) to actually getting to eat it (presuming the
required digestive enzymes have already been phylogenetically put in
place); An associated ATSP might be the threatenting, and primarily
instinctively perceived as fearsome, features of physical-environmental
*reality* (features that have to be coped to exploit the opportunity); the
specifics of of this requirement to cope with this ATSP aspect of this
lifetime situation may consist of having to get into water and thereby
potentiate the threat of being preyed upon (partly because our "candidate in
question" would have to get its fur water-soaked and heavy) if it goes to
met the conceivable "OTSP challenge" of a 'snack available to be snapped up
from a stream'.
Such plausible (or possible to be approximately pictured in one's mind)
examples of the interplay between environmental OTSPs and environmental
ATSPs are what EPT mainly (whilst partly) is about.
Would you without blushing keep arguing for, e.g., that being pursued by a
predator and trying outrun or evade it whilst having a broken bone i a foot,
would not be an example of a ATSP type situation; or even one in which the
"broken foot factor" forces one to figure that a Selective Hibernation Type
Situation (or Stressor) can not be Evolution-Philosophically Taken to be at
hand!

The way I have define (mean) SHITS-type adversity type selective pressures
[and, BTW, that they become compounded -- and have, especially in our
phylogeny, been 'genophenotypically responded to' by AEVASIVE functional
capacities and manifestly Mankind-defining behaviors -- by automatically
becoming internalized as "CURSES type" memories] SHOULD leave no doubt that
*both* "OTSP" and "ATSP" are part of a far from inEPT dichotomy (and are
particularly unique umbrella terms and pair of concEPTual tools) for
understanding how our human lineage did "Ambi-advantagously Evolve" an
"Actention (Selection) System" that allow us to perceptively spot the EPTly
instructive fact that any normal A(S)S frequently makes crucial use of
(amongst else) endogenous opiates (or, as EPTly generically put,
"Endoopiates").
As AEVASIVE as I still am -- I hope this explanation helps.
With regards,
P
