Vent problems.
They sterilize prebiotic material and anything else that runs through them
they are unpredictable and unstable, and impossible to build any chem system
that is stable, based on them.
there is no dry phase - and that
may be necessary for polymerization.
the thermal vent life we have now seems to have evolved from life on the shore.
