Ditto that. I've used Netscape's newsreader almost exclusively since I
first got on the Internet back in 1994. I've never found a better
newsreader. Combined with Comcast's high speed Internet and its free
subscription to Giganews, I have state of the art access to Usenet,
IMHO. Giganews carries all the newgroups and archives posts for at least
6 months. It is always up, and most posts to a non-moderated group
appear on the group within minutes. I have never lost a post.
I caught a major adware infection this week surfing the Web with
Internet Explorer. That program is a piece of crap in terms of Internet
security. It allows "drive-by installs" of some very noxious malware.
If you are unlucky enough to surf to an unfriendly web site, your
computer is infected in a matter of seconds before you can even react.
As I clean up my computer, I've continued to web surf using the Netscape
browser and bypassing the installed adware.
