Ahh! To "dam Edser with faint praise". What a concept!
Now THAT is a flood-control project that could really
mobilize people to work together. If they could be
convinced that it would work.
An alternative project, not without its own charms, would
be to "damn Edser". Alas, completing THAT project would
require the intervention of a Higher Power. And it provides
too little benefit in the short term.
