Re: History of genetic elements?



thanks Tim, I nosed around your site abit, much there to enjoy. i have
a fascination with simple mechanical systems ( on my 100th design for
lightweight/foldable dinghies, I keep finding dozens of unexpected
devices for holding things together,,,, and gasketing etc).
I'll have to spend some time thinking through the "genetic takeover"
and it's implications as a model. It has nice implications as an
example of an interacting complex mechanism.

Is neoteny showing up very much?

I read myself here and see I often sound like a Clueseau ( sp?). And
what was my last post about? Maybe I could turn the thread into a
genetic vaudeville for experts to have a laugh at :-).
