Is anybody working on the possibility that the specimens of H. erectus
found in the Georgia Republic area represent a species between H.
habilis and H. erectus?

They've been formally named as the species Homo georgicus.

Whether that classification is adopted or not, it's clear they're
morphologically transitional between traditional H. habilis and
traditional H. erectus.

Any possible discoveries of H. habilis and Australopithecus specimens in
Asia?

Some would consider the Georgian hominids to be H. habilis, or so I
hear. In the other end of Asia, it may be that floresiensis is an
habilis or even australopithecine offshoot rather than a miniaturized
erectus.

I should perhaps add I've not been following the "Hobbit" story for a
while. Some people have suggested that floresiensis is an
australopithecine or habiline offshoot, but I don't know if they still
think that's a reasonable idea.
