Animals that have harems: do the offspring still inherit 50 percent of the genes from mother



The dominant male obviously has better genes than most of the females
he mates with. Seems to make sense that more of his traits should be
passed on. Too bad someone has not done any observation of how traits
are passed on. Intelligence would be hard to measure, i guess. Physical
prowess should be able to be measured, at least subjectively. Afterall,
this is what determines your rank in the pack.
