Careful John. I've met some women who were very serious
experts in evolutionary theory. Some were professors of the
subject. It's not clear at all to me that men are more interested
in it, or better at it.

Hi Alan,
I said few women (not zero women) appear to be interested. Compared to the
number of males working in this field (and posting here) the number of
females appears to be small. Ms Cathy Woodgold who posted here seemed like a
real exception. What evolutionary theory desperately needs are more females
like her because their view of the same ladder from the opposite emotional
perspective is sorely needed IMHO. Unfortunately Ms Woodgold seems to have
disappeared.
Have you ever attempted to engage a female in a discussion on evolutionary
theory? I can only say the average reaction seems to be that it is just
"typically boring male stuff".
