This may not be precisely what you are looking for, but the book
and DVD: The Private Life of Plants by David Attenborough
is a very interesting look at the lives of plants. This was based
on a TV program and an article on it may be found at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Private_Life_of_Plants
Looks interesting. Local library has video tapes which I will check out.
