Why are there no phosynthetic animals?

If we (perhaps somewhat improperly) define "animal" a mobile,
macroscopic organism, then why are there no photosynthetic animals?
All photosynthetic orgamisms I know of are either immobile plants or
(possibly mobile) microorganisms?
