Even though the Jewish history described in the Pentateuch reveals the
encouragement of genetic exclusivity, no one is perfect. The Jewish
religion has always been intellectually challenging and continues to
be so today. This has attracted intellectuals who add to the
gene-pool. Considering the percentage of Jews in the normal
population, in the historical past, they have maintained an unusually
high proportion of intellectual leadership, even today. Here is an
example of how a sociological relationship (in this case the Jewish
religion) can affect evolutionary forces in a specific group. There
are other examples of this.

relevance to evolutionary biology, as John points out below. I
think it's time to let it go, people. - JAH]

Mr Hall,
Are you referring to "Jews" as selectee's (units of selection), as
selector's i.e. employed as a critical cultural selective force via the
Baldwin effect, or both? If you are referring to Jews as racial selectee's,
what empirically based genetic test can anybody make to be able to separate
a proposed "Jew" from a non Jew? If you are referring to Jews as both
selectee's and selector's please provide a non contradictory, falsifiable
evolutionary theory of race which allows both.
It seems to me the arguments you are using here are not only ambiguous,
they reopen the gates of a non empirically based racial hell. The
unfortunate truth of the holocaust is that the so called "Jews" allowed
themselves to be judged as racially different without any empirically based
test available deploying _the concept of race that they were using_. This
unwittingly played into the hands of the Nazi racists who likewise, deployed
a racial measure which could not be refuted. The net result was, untold
mayhem. The king of Demark had the right idea. When Danish Jews were ordered
to war the Star of David, the King of Denmark who did not consider himself
to be a Jew, wore it as and so did many other Danish "non Jews". If
everybody had worn it the Nazis could do nothing because they had no
empirical test that would allow them to separate "Jews" from "non Jews
(Gandhi would have been proud). IOW, the exercise of empirically
differentiating a "Jew" from a non Jew was and remains based on just an
utter misuse of just _heuristic mathematics_.
