Metabolism Cycle, Sleep, and a Layer of Physical and Psychological
Problems.
More and more all life is fitting together in a wonderful, basic,
clear, reasonable cycle of
food in, waste out.
In - good. Out - bad.
I suggest that a pattern of daily metabolism is set up, not in human
genes, but in the childhood development stage. And that this may be
somehow directly related to the infants response to breast feeding and
that this pattern of behavior occurs during or near the end of the
breast feeding phase and that once set it is hard to change.
The metabolism cycle is set up to daily do these four things.
1. take in food
2. break it down in catabolic chemical reactions.
3. replenish, repair, and build through anabolic reactions
4. prepare waste out and repeat.
Note there are two sets here. One breaks down, one builds up.
For the most part
Waking = catabolic reactions = breaking down.
Sleeping = anabolic reactions = replenish or grow.
Waking
1. take in food
2. break it down in catabolic chemical reactions
Sleeping
3. replenish, repair, and build through anabolic reactions (NREM
sleep)
4. prepare waste out (REM sleep).
Stress reaction.
For men its
fight and
flight
For women it's
tend to their loved ones, and
befriend needed help. (See UCLA study)
These four evolved out of the more basic metabolism cycle
1 take in food - befriend
2. break it down in catabolic reactions - fight
3. replenish, repair, and build through anabolic reactions - tend
4. prepare waste out - flight (separate from waste)
Note that sexual differences evolved from the metabolism cycle
Females as a sex, are more notable for
1. take in food - befriend
3. replenish, repair, and build - tend
Males as a sex, are more notable for
2. break it down in catabolic reactions - fight
4. prepare waste out. - flight
The metabolism pattern when not balanced leads to two major health,
personality problems.
Overweight and all problems associated with it is a form of over
compensation to a breast milk pattern that had a lack of breast milk
coming in.
1 take in too little (too little breast milk to take in)
leads to:
2. break down too little in catabolic reactions ( too little breast
milk to process)
3. replenish, repair, and build too much (utilize all and still hungry
and need more)
4. prepare waste out too little. (none wasted)
Underweight and all problems associated with it is a form of over
compensation to a breast milk pattern that ahd an excess of breast
milk coming in.
1. take in too much (too much breast milk to take in and process)
leads to:
2. break down too much in catabolic reactions (too much breast milk to
process)
3. replenish, repair, and build too little (utilize less because of
excess coming in)
4. prepare waste out too much. (excess coming in so more waste to go
out)
This basic pattern is hard to change. But changing the pattern to a
more healthy one, will solve a layer of physical and psychological
problems if it can be fixed.
Thoughts on the metabolism cycle, sleep and more.
