The Cornell campus abuts a vein of kimberlite. Officially it is not
diamondiferous. Care to speculate upon the real truth? Follow the
service road from the Snee Hall parking area to its intersection with
College
Ave. The kimberlite dike crosses Cascadilla gorge just upstream from
the College Ave. bridge. It cuts through the Devonian siltstones
beneath Snee Hall. Look just upstream from an abandoned flight of
stairs that led from College Town to the creek. Diamonds strongly
bond to grease boards. It is not overmuch difficult to pan for them.

Cut off one of your feet and be Liberally funded as handicapped
scientist. Too bad you aren't a girl - but transsexuals are ripe with
support. The US is long past funding its Gifted. Liberal political
canon celebrates genetic, developmental, and behavioral trash;
reproductive warriors, hind gut fermenters, drug addicts,
Enviro-whiner Luddites; the stupid, the pathetic, and the Officially
Sad.

The rub with victimology and rule of the disempowered is that there is
always somebody even less qualified, a worse victim, and more screwed
up than you are. You wanted a break for being a newly minted woman?
Okay, but you're a white woman and just got euchred out of that
position by a Chicana two-fer. She finds herself competing against a
sexually harassed Black lesbian single mother intravenous drug addict
with AIDS doing the Macarena in a wheelchair.
