The number of equivalents depends on chemistry. 1 mol HCl = 1 eq of
HCl
1 mol of H2SO4 = 2 eq. of H2SO4.

Normality is molar concentration (mol/L) adjusted by number of
equivalents per mol (1,2,3,4,5....)
