The Usenet is a world-wide distributed Peer-to-peer network. You're
connecting through GroupSrv, but they have nothing to do with the
content. Who you are, where you live, and your original language are
meaningless trivia. If you go to Google groups, you'll see everything
written since the late 1980's archived, and personal info just isn't
suited to storage for posterity.

You're correct. Rocks can be made of several minerals or just one.
The ores mined will be a rock or mineral.

OK, the last question showed some work on your part. This one doesn't.
People take a dim view of that behavior around here. You say you've
got a book. Read it more carefully.

Limestone is a rock, its principal (sometimes only) mineral is calcite.
Calcium carbonate is the compound that makes up the mineral calcite.
The difference between calcite and calcium carbonate is the crystal
type. Oyster shells are also calcium carbonate. Look up how oyster
shells differ from calcite.
