It makes no difference what kind of energy is introduced into the
reaction bulb - arc, silent discharge, hard UV, x-rays, particulate
radiation, or a kilowatt of ultrasonication - as long as there are
enough moles of it and you exceed about 3.5 eV in threshhold. Google
the original literature. Visit a university library and photocopy a
pile.
