What is Araldite? If it is a common binary epoxy glue/putty, than ethyl
alcohol should work fine. If it is some kind of silicon stuff, you may
need to use sxomething like acetone, ethyl acetate, or a suitable paint
thinner (there are different kinds).

If you face this removal problem frequently, you will do better of with
buying a box of disposable surgical gloves. They are less expensive
than buying a new pair of hands.
