This is apparently a misconception: The range of transmittance is 0 to
1 (or say 0 to 100%). Taking negative logarithm of T=1 gives you an
absorbance = 0, when you take negative log of T=0, what do you get?
Infinity. Absorbance values can theoretically range from 0 to infinity.
