Pre-fragmented rounds are not exotic. Titanium shot for flamethrower
effects is not exotic. I don't know of any lanthanide element that
will go all higgledy-piggledy on contact with air or water. At worst
some of them are as reactive as sodium. Lanthanides are overall
toxic, but so what?

If you want to play Giant Death games you use your head. My favorite
would be saponin, 50-100 mg in the pre-frag round. The round enters
the skin and fragments. Saponin is released into the blood stream.
Did you ever work in Hematology? All the red blood cells instantly
hemolyze. WHAMMO! Now it is a race between a flood of released
potassium stopping the heart and freed hemoglobin gelling the entire
blood supply.

If your tastes differ load SF-6847 (oxidative phophorylation
uncouples, body temp shoots past 110 F, the brain melts),
quinuclidinyl benzylate (that will change your view of reality),
t-buytlbicyclophosphonate (GABA mimic from t-BuC(CH2OH)3 and POCl3),
or epibatidine (you'll thoroughly enjoy being dead; opiate antagonists
won't save you). The champ might be JACS 115 9939 (1993) Femtomolar
that stuff is lethal, 10^(-15) M. Easy to make, too, and a nice solid
for handling.

Then there is the secret stuff...
