I think burning SRB will not disperse much perchlorate around, after
all it is mixed there with aluminum powder and binders. The burn
temperatures are pretty high, over 1000C.
I think it was rather the spills at places like Thiocol plant in Utah
where they load hundreds tonns of perchlorate into rockets every year.
Some of it probably falls on the ground and accumulates in soil over
time.
