You need to understand LCAO strucure, the primary reaction mechanisms,
have a repertoire of reagents, be able to do 1,3-charge shifts, and be
aware of name reactions by mechanisms. Add the Woodward-Hoffmann
rules.

If you try memeorizing by wrote you will be crushed and destroyed
without ever having learned anything. Your only hope for survival is
to understand it. LCAO is the necessary first step. Prentice-Hall
Framework Molecuarl Models (tubes and jacks), two sets. Cut the
carbons all to the same length.

If organic chemistry isn't the best thing ever to happen to you, pick
a different major. It must be passion that consumes you.

HyperChem-Lite for your PC molecular modeler. It costs less than a
textbook and it is flat out wonderful. (Find the stereoview
utility!) BabelWin for structure file format conversions. Tripos'
Alchemy is overpriced crap - especially its minimizer.
