I hate to be asking in this forum about things that might not seem
related but I feel that it is related.
I recently bought a new car (supposed to be brand new) but I failed to
notice the paint craps on the rear bumper going around around the
exhaust pipe, i.e on the edge of curve until I got home when I looked
under the bunpers to check whether they put perma plate, the service I
purchased.
I immediately called and informed and when I tookt he car the next day
after being refused to do anything about it, I brought up the chemical
analysis test that the chemical compounds used in perma plate process
ON those spot would prove that those spots were there before I drove
off with the car. BTW, they didn't put perma plate coat under the
bumper and so the edge where this paint problem is where the perma
plate coverage ends.
They offere only to do touch up which is a heap way of doing it. I
asked about the quality and the giuy dealing with me said that it
wouldn't look any diffeernt formt he rest of the paint on bumper. But
this morning the servicedepatment guy said that it would look
different.
So it seems that I need to find a place to do this chemical analysis
test before I can insiist that they do the right way, ile strip down
the pain on the bumper and repaint which istself is not to my liking
since I prefer the factory paint on my days old car but it would be
better than putty work wiht touvh up paint.
How do I go about finding aplace that would to the kind of test I
need? This would be trace analysis test where I would need the tester
to confirm that there was perma plate coat on those spots that were
removed to test the chemical compotition of the smaple is the chemcial
compition of perma plate.
Of course this would be a painfully time consuming process (and costly)
but it seems that I don't have a choice.
Can anyone guide me how to find a service place that would do the
service I need?
.
