Sorry for the simplicity (ignorance) of this question but... Is bonding ever done in the lab, or does it only happen naturally? Are there any examples of scientists creating new substances by bonding two or more atoms?
(Wow) CHEMISTRY.
Is that an answer?
Yes, it's an answer. Perhaps not exactly what you wanted, but it's an
answer.
In a word, the answer is chemistry. There are a whole lot of things we
use
every day that wouldn't be around if someone hadn't made them. Part of
that
process involves chemistry.
I am disturbed by a study that showed ~20% of the people in my state (and probably the country) are functionally illiterate. When it comes to technical literacy, I'm sure the number is considerably larger. Unfortunately all of these people vote. Maybe someone can refer this guy to a simple chemistry text. Frank
The only reason ordinary people are allowed to vote is because: a) It makes armed overthrow of the govt seem unreasonable b) It doesn't change anything
