The politicized science bothers me, e.g. Jesse Jackson saying the other day that hurricane was severe due to global warming because administration refused to sign Koyota accords. Frank
The politicizing is that the present administration willfully ignores the evidence that global warming is happening. I don't know what Jesse Jackson said, but global warming models do predict increasing numbers of hurricanes, with increasing destructive power on average. But you can't say that a particular hurricane is more powerful because of global warming; it is a statistical matter. Also, global warming is raising sea levels, and will continue to do so, causing flooding of low-lying coastal areas. Rebuilding New Orleans where it is, without better flood controls, is an invitation to another disaster.
