permanganate is beautiful but it will react with paper and lots of
other media.
Be careful around Cr(VI) because it is a known human carcinogen.
(Ingestion route). Phosphomolybdate and phosphotungstate are beautifly
yellow and turns blue on electrochemical reduction.
Ferricyanide is deep-yellow (and toxic) the trouble is that its salts
are often very poorly soluble.
