like this:
3 x (8/3) = 8/1
This would make 8/3 a simple multiple of 8/1 but according to the law
it is the other way round, 8/1 is to be the same or a simple multiple
of 8/3. Is it not like this?
@Atty: No idea what you are talking about but since Octa Ex and Bob has
understood my question, it probably means that you have missed
something... read it again?
@Bob: We are struggling with a 1792 law because it is in my school text
book and my teacher isn't competent enough to answer my question. You
are right about the ethane, ethyne ratios and I think I agree that N2O
doesn't follow normal bonding rules, but would you like to tell me
then, if it is wrong, why in the name of God is it called a LAW?? I
understand when something like Law of conservation of mass or 2nd law
of thermodynamics is called a law but why this?? I haven't yet read
anywhere that this law is wrong...
.
