What Type Glass Is Used Inside Microwave Ovens?

While my wife was out last night I heated up some "food" in the
microwave. As usual the pyrex bowl was a little hotter than the food
after a couple of minutes.

I got to wondering- what type glass is used in those very expensive
rotating platters that come with the microwave oven? They don't seem to
absorb much radiation at all. A replacement platter can cost nearly
half the price of a new inexpensive oven. Maybe that is just mark-up
for replacement parts.

Would it be practical or cost effective to make bowls for the microwave
oven out of that type glass?
