The silicone rubber membrane sounds fairly low cost,
but if you set it up no dought you will have to diffuse many times to
gradually increase the separation.
Pehaps even diffusing through a shheet of cardboard or a roll of
toilet paper would achive some separation.

Another way would be to reversibly absorb O2 onto blood.
If you talk to an abatoir they would sell you some!

You may be able to do a reversible perooxide or superoxide reation
with K2O or Cs2O
