are preferred to synthetic ones.
Even if not, I think a tax would apply in both cases.
Carbon from underground for sure contains less C14,
but it is unnoticeable, comparing to
universe high energy radiation
Rn222 in indoor air/water,
K40 and C14 of your own body
ingestion of C14 food.
Human body is used to deal with natural radiation level,
having repairing mechanisms to keep malign probability
at reasonable low level.
Stress because of C14 is more dangerous as C14 itself,
because stress is one of the biggest enemies of human imunity system,
and weak imunity system opens gates to possibility of malign changes.
