question

ok i got a qestion..how is water made? like if i get 2 parts hydrogen
(a gass) and 1 part oxygen (also a gass) wont it just remain a gass?
cause it would be a compound right? how do i turn that into water. is
it possible to make your own things (like water,salt..ect) if you have
the chemicial formula. like if you mix the elemenst that compose it
would that make the things or would it make *** (as in nothing)? and
what do you need to chemicly bond the hydrogen and oxygen to gethere to
make water?
