Copper salts of any sort will give some quite nice greens and blues
(even purple in some spots, with copper perchlorate).
Potassium nitrate will give a nice purple, as well.
Other salts (such as those of lithium and strontium) give nice reds,
but would be hard to obtain for the non-professional.
Boric acid dissolved in methanol with a little sulphuric acid will burn
with agreen flame, but isn't sometyhing that can be poured on a
campfire (spoken from long experience- if you have a large quantity of
m/ethyl borate, you pour small quantities of it -beside- the fire, not
directly on it, to get the green flames).
Magnesium ribbon is always fun to toss on a campfire, as well.
