Enthalpy of formation of Ni2SO4*6H2O(s) = -2683 kJ/mol
Gibbs free energy of formation = -2225 kJ/mol
Source: Properties of Inorganic Compounds, John Wiley & Sons, 1971
When you dissolve salt into water, it naturally forms Ni^2+, HSO4^- and
SO4^2- ions whose values are found in thermodynamic tables.
For Ni2SO4*H2O Gibbs free energy is -1085 kJ/mol (HSC software by Outokumpu
Research Ltd, Finland).
