Start with a title, add an introduction which tells the background of your
development, so folks can understand where it fits in the global chemistry
picture, and why it is important. Put in an experimental method, data, a
few results that demonstrate what you want to show. At the end, give a
section each for conclusions, recommendations, and a discussion. Some folks
will combine those last sections. Give it to your manager to read, and
expect a lot of edits back.
