I'm after a very dense gas with low speed of sound.
Xenon is far too expensive.
Would a boiling point of 56 degrees C be too high?
That's the b.p. of Fluorinert FC-72. That would
become a very dense gas. Cost may be an issue, though.
I need it a gas at 0 degC max.
Cost might not be too much of a problem now I think of it. However, I
need to fill about 100 litres so anything over about $1 per litre is
out. It's also out if it is difficult to contain within flexible plastic
(metallised or not) because of diffusion.
