Hi guys, I'm something of a layman at this so bear with me. I'm
interested in seeing a chart, if anyone can point me at such a thing,
which would allow me to get into my head how various things relate to
each other in terms of what contains what. It's like I know most of it
when I think about it, but I just don't have that intuitively clear
picture of containment and scale in my head.
Ideally I'd like it to contain the likes of:
cell
DNA
molecule
element
atom
nucleus
electron
proton
and whatever else seems appropriate. Is there such a thing?
What comes to mind is a book, "Power of Ten", by Charles and
Ray Eames. The book was made into a film, and is available
on DVD. Many libraries have one or both of these. It takes
you from human scale to the universe, and back to atomic scale.
Cheers for all the suggestions guys. I'll work through them. I've now
got a copy of Power of Ten so I'll take a look at that first and take
it from there. Thanks!!
