Although there probably are a few different kinds of
reactions in regard to how oxygen is used up, almost
all will replace one molecule of O2 with one of CO2.
I'd go with a mer of H2C consuming 1.5 molecules of O2, since we
are talking about a biological organism. So 1.5 molecule of O2
are consumed for every molecule of CO2 detected. The balance is
water.
