Rec.pyro is dead only if we let it die. There
are other venues out there which are pay pyro
sites, and they are quite good. However the real
point, is that our freedom of speech is being
trampled by some psychopath.

I am sure no one here is a majority stockholder,
but we do have a voice. Please do not tell me
that this idiot cannot be tracked down. I know
damn well that he can, and I am throwing the
gauntlet on the table. I will make it a point
to contact the appropriate people and try to
stop this.
ISPs will have to assist. All incoming newsgroup posts will have
to produce correct headers at the point of entry to the system.
Then this person uses several "back doors", so it will take a bit
of maneuvering to catch them all. And he/she forges as much of
the header as tehy can, to make this even more difficult.
As some of you may know, I am the type of
person that stands up for their principles. What
is there to lose? Plenty if we let this idiot
intimidate us.

Keep posting regardless. In the meantime,
contact Google corporate and advise them of
this B.S. Believe me, it is in their interest
also. Whenever something may affect the
bottom line, people will listen.
The bottom line is pay news servers are where he is trying to
push us. They can filter out this crap, and they do. What this
"person" does not realize, or care, is that the Big 8 will only
tolerate us as long as we don't cost them a lot of money.
The procedure is:
Post to newsgroup - news.admin.net-abuse.sightings
title - [usenet] whatever title the post had
include the header (I use <HEADER> <END HEADER> to bracket it)
include the full message body.
This identifies the post as eligible for automatic deletion. It
permits some limited tracking. It adds the idiot to the "wall of
shame".
