Platinum processing

Hi All. Just found out platinum is over $2000 and ounce. Long time ago, I
built a metal detector that was very good at finding platinum ore. At the
time, I wasn't too interested in processing it and professional processors
were too expensive. Things have changed. The process that was prevalent
was leach with aqua regia and drop out with ammonium chloride. Is this
still the state of the art or is something better available. Any information
would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Larry
