Hi there,
I am a lowly biologist after some chemistry advice. I came across an
article about 10+ years ago that descibed a few methane-based
compounds that when added to water form ice at near room temperatures.
I cannot track the article down - any ideas where I can out about such
compound(s).
Many thanks,
I am not a professional chemist by any stretch of the imagination. I
have found Chemical Abstracts to be an excellent tool for literature
searching, even on subjects only peripheral to chemistry. For example, I
have searched (10+ years ago) for optical properties of certain crystals
by using CAS Registry Numbers of the crystal material.
A big university like yours should have both paper and electronic access
to CAS.
