If you were working with them, you should know these things. Pt and Ru
are commonly used as catalysts in fuel cells. As far as storing H2 is
concerned, you can store a little in Pd, but there are better alloys
such as LaNi5 (or La5Ni, I forget) which will absorb large amounts of
H2, but probably not enough to be commercially useful.
Some folks have proposed carbon nanotubes, which apparently can do
everything, including raise the dead.
