I have heard it said that psychology is a "soft" science while physics
is a "hard" science.
In hard sciences (ex. physics) you can mathematically analyze
experimental data to predice with certainity a future situation.
In soft sciences things are more a matter of statistics the future
situation is not guanteed at all (ie. there is a 50% chance of this
and a 37 % chance that).
