Because it is not consistent with the principles under which
this country was founded.

And so what? We've largely solved the transport problem. Would you
prefer that televisions be $2500, or $5000 per unit, just for a
basic model?

I don't have to. It makes perfect sense.

You want to see the future? It's in the young man who
was my next door neighbor. He came into the U.S.
legally from Mexico, as a child. He's married, has
one child, runs an oil change franchise. He has
a mortgage and hates to mow the lawn.

He pays his taxes, shows up on time and pays his
bills.
